Library Director

Hi, I'm Barbara Thompson. I started as your library director in January of 2020. Wow, what a year that was. I graduated from L-M in 1982.  I hold a degree in Elementary Education (Iowa Wesleyan College 1986) and work as a guest teacher at L-M. I have used many libraries in my travels and am adjusting to being the one on this side of the desk. I have a love/hate relationship with books. I love to organize them and hate to read them. I am a reader for the sole purpose of colleting the information. "Reading for pleasure" is a phrase that has never really made sense to me. I can tell you that being in this wonderful facility with all these books, I have picked up a novel here and there and read a littel bit. I especially like to read the information on the inside of the book jacket.
